What makes our facial cleanser unique?
Most facial cleansers are typically water-based and contain harsh surfactants to strip away excess oil and makeup; however, this can create an imbalance in the natural oils and pH of your skin, which can leave it feeling oily in certain areas or even cause dry irritated patches. Our organic facial cleanser is balanced with the right ingredients for your specific skin type and can effectively clean your skin without leaving it feeling dry and damaged, while also maintaining a healthy balance for your skin!
Hydrate with a plant-based oil!
Using an oil can be extremely beneficial for providing and maintaining the perfect hydration, however using the right oil for combination skin is key! For example; certain plant oils have a small enough molecular structure to efficiently absorb through the epidermis, which provides nourishing benefits deep into the skin, as opposed to a “cream based” moisturizer that would remain on the surface and is not able to fully absorb.
Another reason why oils provide great hydration is they are free of fillers and water! Cream based products typically use fillers (waxes and emulsifiers) and Aqua (water), therefore you end up losing the concentration and the nutritional benefits offered by the key ingredients in the formulation.
Another added bonus, oils are customizable! The more you apply the richer/more hydrating they are for your skin. This is a great feature for combination skin types, because it allows you to simply use more in your dry areas and less in the oily parts of your skin. By simply adding a couple drops of water to the palm of your hand with the NOURISH facial moisturizer, you can customize the hydration, making it much lighter where needed and ultimately perfect for your combination skin.
